Jared Biography
Jared D. Ackley is the owner and principal attorney at Law Office of Jared D. Ackley focused on providing efficient and affordable legal solutions for individuals and businesses that protect their ideas and secure their legacies. A graduate of the University of San Diego School of Law, Jared took courses in business planning, corporate law, negotiation, contracts, and intellectual property. He was a leader of the Business Law Society, editor-in-chief for Motions (law school newspaper), and externed at the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of the U.S. Trustee. He honed his skillset on contract and employer-employee matters at a San Diego firm focused on small businesses. After passing the California Bar Exam, Jared represented national insurance companies. Immediately before starting his own firm, Jared worked for a Newport Beach law firm representing small to mid-size businesses in various industries on a range of transactional and IP matters.
Jared grew up in Southern California. As an undergraduate at UC San Diego, Jared studied abroad in Utrecht, the Netherlands, and interned at the American Bar Association in Washington, D.C. Jared briefly considered a career in banking but enjoyed helping secure funding for new ventures so much he decided to go to law school to advise businesses full time. During college Jared also started his first business installing computer systems for individuals, businesses, and schools.
